40 Days for Life Starts Today! Pray & Fast

Image
40 Days for Life begins today, folks.    Do something!    We can all fast and pray.   So start there.   We really like this from the 40 Days website: PRAYER& FASTING Knowing that “with God, all things are possible,” people of faith and conscience unite in 40 days of prayer and fasting. Christ told us some demons can only be driven out by prayer and fasting. The two go hand in hand. Prayer keeps us rooted in the fact that it is our desire to carry out God’s will. Fasting is a sacrifice that helps us reach beyond our own limitations with God’s help. Also, even if it makes you a bit uncomfortable, head out to Preterm and pray there.   It is the largest abortion clinic in Ohio.  One gentleman prays for 4 hours in front of Preterm every Wednesday and Friday.   Start with a Rosary once a week and build from there. Remember, the most efficacious of all prayers is the Holy Mass.   On Saturday, at 9 am, less than one mile from Preterm, St. Elizabeth of Hungary C

Padre Pio Academy’s Speech & Debate Team Looks to Return to Nationals

Image
The classically educated students at Padre Pio Academy often see the world differently than other children their age.  After all, the Mission of the small academy in Lakewood is “ to instill in its pupils the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ that will burn throughout their lives, undimmed by the winds of this world. ”    No Common Core at this place. So what happened last year when this unique academy that provides classical, Catholic education for students in kindergarten through twelfth grades began to compete against the large well-funded schools throughout our community in  forensics competitions ?  Well, the students from Padre Pio Academy shocked the Speech & Debate establishment last season with a string of outstanding performances culminating in a 13 th place finish in a prestigious national competition. The Road to Nationals for the young orators included an impressive string of victories throughout the State of Ohio: Balin Kimbrell and Gideon Fry w

Cleveland Pro-Life Community Asked to Pray & Fast for Truth about Tia Parks

Image
Three months ago, Tia Parks, a 26 year old Cleveland woman, died the day after visiting the Preterm abortion clinic. According to LifeSite News: Tia Archeiva Parks was a 26-year-old mother of a little girl that had just turned four when she walked in to Preterm, a Cleveland abortion facility, on June 7, 2019, for what seemed like a routine abortion in her first trimester of pregnancy. But the results were anything but routine. By the time the sun set the next day, Tia Parks was dead. On Tuesday September 17, Pastors Walter & Darleen Moss of New Life Ministries will be holding a 10 am Press Conference in front of the Cleveland Preterm abortion clinic. We are asking that for the nine days leading up to this Press Conference, people pray and fast for the following: 1) Pray & Fast for the late Tia Parks and her family 2) Pray & Fast that the Truth about what happened to Tia Parks will be made widely known 3) Pray & Fast that the deaths of mothers and unborn ch

Time for Pro-lifers to Join Our Lady in front of Preterm on Wednesdays & Fridays

Image
Every Wednesday and Friday between 2 pm and 6 pm local pro-life hero Fred Sokol can be found praying in front of Preterm – Cleveland’s biggest abortion clinic.   He is sometimes joined by one or two others, but his most loyal companion is a life-size replica image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.   According to one prominent, national Marian apostolate: Fred Sokol of Rocky River, Ohio, is one of our Guardians of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He is a stouthearted prayer warrior who courageously stands weekly for long hours at the Preterm abortion center as a witness for life and a counselor for life to mothers seeking abortions. Some of the other abortion centers where he exercised his peaceful prayer presence with the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe have since closed due to his and others peaceful prayer presence. The story of how Fred obtained his life-size replica image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is truly amazing and can be found here:   “ Mommy Let
