Young Adult Advent Retreat: “Rise, clasp My hand, and come!” Saturday 12/3 @ MQP

  Fr. Bede Kotlinski, OSB., Fr. Kevin Estabrook, Fr Doug Brown and Fr. Daniel Bowen, O de M will lead an Advent young adult retreat at Mary Queen of Peace, Saturday (12/3).  The retreat includes a Traditional Latin Mass, Adoration, Confession and talks as well as Breakfast and Lunch. The retreat is being sponsored by the Oliver Plunkett Social Club and includes a minimal $5 donation to help cover costs.  (See link to Facebook invite at the bottom).   In today’s noisy, chaotic world, many young adults find themselves consumed by worldly pursuits as they avoid the loving call of our Father.     Their lives are much like what Francis Thompson describes in his timeless “The  Hound of Heaven :”    “I fled Him, down the nights and down the days; I fled Him down the arches of the years; I fled Him down the labyrinthine ways of my own mind and in the mist of tears I hid from Him and under running laughter up vistaed hopes I sped; and shot, precipitated, adown Titanic glooms of chasmed fears,
