On June 15th 2019, following the funeral for Tia Parks, Pastor Walter and Darleen Moss were informed that Tia had an abortion at Preterm Abortion Facility in Cleveland, OH.  As Tia sought medical help at the Cleveland Clinic, she died the day following the abortion procedure at Preterm. While her abortion was considered "successful" in that a baby was killed, there was another baby in Tia's Fallopian tube which was undetected at Preterm.

Tia Parks is one of a host of women who have died, or have experienced major health complications physically, emotionally and spiritually as a result of the so-called "safe, legal and rare" abortion procedures performed everyday across America.

Preterm is the largest abortion mill in Ohio which results in the fact that Cuyahoga County performs 36.7% of all abortions in the State sadly making this county the abortion center of Ohio.  Of all abortions done on Cuyahoga County women, 64% are performed on Black Women despite the fact that Blacks account for just 29% of the county's population.   In spite of the fact that Preterm has been cited for unsafe conditions, they continue performing abortions while thousands of babies are killed, and mothers also have lost their lives as a result of unsafe conditions there.

A very important press event will be held in front of the Preterm abortion facility, located at 12000 Shaker Boulevard., Cleveland, OH 44120.  We invite you to join us on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 10:00 AM, as we address the critical issue of the loss of these precious lives, especially women of color, under the guise of women's health care.  We will publicly address the untimely deaths of women undergoing abortion procedures, and we will mourn the growing Roll Call of young Black women who have died a a result of abortion in the State of Ohio and specifically at Preterm.

Cleveland Latin Mass Community Reacts to News

  It was a match made in Heaven. The Traditional Latin Mass and some of Cleveland’s most beautiful, historic churches.  Immaculate Conception, St Stephen’s, St, Rocco’s and more recently Mary Queen of Peace, St. Elizabeth of Hungary and St. Ignatius of Antioch.    In many ways it was the fulfillment of former Bishop Pilla’s excellent Church in the City initiative.  Catholics from all over Northeastern Ohio gathering together in some of our older urban neighborhoods and worshipping Our Lord.  Obviously, the very positive financial impact on some of these struggling parishes can not be overstated.  It is significant and probably saved a parish or two.  But there is more.  Far more. Friendships were formed, volunteer efforts initiated, lives were changed, neighborhoods revived.  There were many conversions to the Faith, and perhaps even more reversions to the Faith. They came for the Beauty, They Stayed to Give Back - The Latin Mass Community Rolls Up Its Sleaves!

Catholic Tradition is more than Latin, incense and bells; it is feeding a neighbor, clothing a stranger, and rescuing the unborn.  And so, when more and more young adults started returning to the beautiful, historic Catholic churches in urban Cleveland and attending the timeless Traditional Latin Mass, these same young adults found neighborhoods in need of their love, kindness and Christian Charity.        Thanks to these young Catholic traditionalists, last month we were able to witness Cleveland charity at its best.  And when the Cleveland Latin Mass community, the pro-life community, the Benedictines and people with good hearts all work together amazing things can happen.  In mid-March, on the eve of the Feast of St Joseph, friends of Father Bede OSB joined together to supply residents in the Buckeye/Shaker Blvd neighborhood with 100 free fish dinners from the Benedictine HS fish fry.  The idea started with the Oliver Plunkett Young Adult Club as a way of thanking Father Bede OSB fo
