Seven Great Catholic Events This Weekend





Well we have a First Friday and a First Saturday this weekend so there are a bunch of excellent events going on.

1.      1.  And of course, nobody does First Friday like the great Father Doug Brown at Mary Queen of Peace.



Don't forget, on every Saturday now Father Brown has added an 8 am Traditional Latin Mass. 

2. If it's Friday, you can find our man Fred praying in front of Preterm from 2pm to 6pm.  Why not join him?  


3. If you are out in Lake County, Immaculate Conception in Willoughby has a 7pm Latin Mass every Friday night.


4. Start Saturday with Latin Mass at one of many locations .



5.  Highlight of the weekend is the Saturday Legion of Mary Eucharistic Procession at Noon with Bishop Perez.  Please attend.




6.  Stop by the Tilma Bookstore.  Awesome.


7.  Lot's of great choices for Sunday Mass,,,,but we gotta go with St. Stephen's Latin Mass at 9:30.  Bonus:  It's Donut Sunday!

Cleveland Latin Mass Community Reacts to News

  It was a match made in Heaven. The Traditional Latin Mass and some of Cleveland’s most beautiful, historic churches.  Immaculate Conception, St Stephen’s, St, Rocco’s and more recently Mary Queen of Peace, St. Elizabeth of Hungary and St. Ignatius of Antioch.    In many ways it was the fulfillment of former Bishop Pilla’s excellent Church in the City initiative.  Catholics from all over Northeastern Ohio gathering together in some of our older urban neighborhoods and worshipping Our Lord.  Obviously, the very positive financial impact on some of these struggling parishes can not be overstated.  It is significant and probably saved a parish or two.  But there is more.  Far more. Friendships were formed, volunteer efforts initiated, lives were changed, neighborhoods revived.  There were many conversions to the Faith, and perhaps even more reversions to the Faith. They came for the Beauty, They Stayed to Give Back - The Latin Mass Community Rolls Up Its Sleaves!

Catholic Tradition is more than Latin, incense and bells; it is feeding a neighbor, clothing a stranger, and rescuing the unborn.  And so, when more and more young adults started returning to the beautiful, historic Catholic churches in urban Cleveland and attending the timeless Traditional Latin Mass, these same young adults found neighborhoods in need of their love, kindness and Christian Charity.        Thanks to these young Catholic traditionalists, last month we were able to witness Cleveland charity at its best.  And when the Cleveland Latin Mass community, the pro-life community, the Benedictines and people with good hearts all work together amazing things can happen.  In mid-March, on the eve of the Feast of St Joseph, friends of Father Bede OSB joined together to supply residents in the Buckeye/Shaker Blvd neighborhood with 100 free fish dinners from the Benedictine HS fish fry.  The idea started with the Oliver Plunkett Young Adult Club as a way of thanking Father Bede OSB fo
