Saturday Latin Mass Begins Less than One Mile from Ohio's Largest Abortion Center

One of Cleveland's most beautiful and historic church's will now be offering a Saturday Latin Mass only one mile away from Ohio's biggest abortion center.

St Elizabeth of Hungary Church recently announced that THE TRADITIONAL LATIN MASS will be offered every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th (if there is one) Saturday every month at 9 A.M. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary.  The Saturday Latin Mass has now been in place for several months and attendance has steadily grown with as many as 40 to 50 showing up on recent Saturdays,

The Mass's proximity to Ohio's largest abortion center has led many to offer extra prayers for the unborn lives at risk nearby.  Indeed, on July 27  a special Latin Low Mass for the Remission of the Sin of Abortion was offered.  Over 100 turned out including representatives from the heroic local 40 Days for Life chapter and of course the good folks from Cleveland Right to Life.

The Saturday Latin Mass at St. Elizabeth has been well publicized by the always reliable Cleveland Traditional Latin Mass Blog:

None of you need to be reminded or lectured about the sin of abortion. Our nation has been ruined by a culture of death. Have you ever read Romans 1? Has Almighty God abandoned us to our own devices, as He did to that society? Eternal questions; we know not the true answer.

So what can remedy this sin of abortion? In short, the Father sent His Son for the remission of all sin. The most efficacious prayer this side of heaven is the Most Beautiful Thing This Side of Heaven. We can truly offer to the Father His Son in the representation of the sacrifice on Calvary. And we will offer Him for the remission of that sin, that crime of abortion.

There was also some great coverage on numerous sites from @TLMCleveland including some outstanding photos:

In other big news, Mary Queen of Peace will begin offering a weekly Saturday morning Latin Mass starting in September.  We are sure       http://clevelandtlmfriends.blogspot.com/ will have all the details.

  1. Are you suggesting that somehow the prayer of Jesus Christ in the unreformed style of the late 1950's liturgy is more efficacious than the current and restored rite?

    1. Not sure. How well has the other one worked?

    2. It is hard to find a Saturday morning Mass. This is helpful.

    3. Great saints
have prayed and been fed in both of these forms of the Mass.

    4. This is a frequent an erroneous apologia for the continuance of the unreformed Roman style. Indeed, "Great saints have prayed and been fed in both of these forms of the Mass," but the same could be said of saints of all of the many rites, including those which use the Liturgy of Addai and Mari. But that is not the extant form of celebration in the Roman Rite, and it would be illicit in a Roman Church. As was the usage of the unreformed style for two generations until the imposition of Summorum Pontificum, which seems at this point to be a catalyst of schism.
